Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye has advised students in the State to work hard, be selfless and uphold good values in all they do.
Oladunjoye gave the advice in Lagos at the draws of the zonal qualifiers of the Lagos State Schools’ Debate, Season VI held at the Educational Resource Centre, Ojodu.
The Commissioner pointed out that the Lagos State Schools’ Debate provides an opportunity for students to sharpen their thinking and oral skills so that they can have a brighter rewarding future adding that they should avail themselves of the opportunity.
She advised the students to prepare adequately for the upcoming elimination series by undertaking a lot of research as well as take advice and tips from their teachers.
The Commissioner urged the students to take advantage of the debate to build themselves by improving on their writing skills and oral English as well as continue to be good children.
The 64 zonal qualifiers who have picked topics through ballots were drawn from the six Educational Districts across the State and they will engage themselves in series of sessions until only two schools that will participate in the grand finale to be held at a later date will emerge.
