Mr. Mashood A. Ibiyeye


Mr. Adebayo Mashood Ibiyeye was born on the 4th of April 1962. He started his primary education at St Marks Primary School, Offa in Kwara State from where he went to St John’s (Rimi) College, Kaduna. He proceeded to School of Basic Studies, Ahmadu Bello University for his A Level in 1978. He obtained a B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1984 and a post graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the Lagos State University, Ojo in 2002.

Adebayo Ibiyeye who has been involved in the teaching of Science subjects including Mathematics in secondary schools has attended several professional courses, seminars and workshops organized by various organizations/associations such as Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), National Association of Teachers of Technology (NATT), Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NATAP), Creative Consulting, SEDE Maths Laboratory, African Center for Education and Development, PSSDC, British Council and ESSPIN among others.

He has won many laurels for the state both at the national and international levels including the first position in projects exhibition at the 1998 Science Engineering and Technology (SET) Summit organized by the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Excellence/Innovation award at the 2000 Worldwide Young Researchers for the Environment (WYRE) Fair in Germany, and the International Mention Award at 2001 International Physics Competition, First Step to Noble Prize held in Warsaw, Poland among others.
